The Islamic Republic now targets Jewish interests across Western capitals ahead of an aggressive and violent campaign of containment against the world Jewry and the State of Israel. Following a series of foiled attacks against Israel’s assets and interests in the Middle East – mainly Turkey, IRGC seeks to accelerate its agenda and strike fear at the heart of its appointed enemies. Intelligence reports all point to an imminent strike.
As part of its long-term nuclear development strategy and risk mitigation, Iran devised a containment plan several years ago against both Israeli and western interests in view of buying itself a space from which to guarantee the continuity of its military pursuits, and thus guarantee completion.
To put it simply Iran decided long ago to resort to unsavoury tactics against its appointed enemies, as it goes about becoming a nuclear power – knowing fully well that once it would acquire such technology, countries would have no other choice but to contend with the new reality.
If the plan baffles the mind by the implacability of the hatred underwriting it, it also serves as a powerful reminder of the threat Iran poses to our collective security by virtue of its pursuit for a global war. And though many capitals still hope to placate the Iranian dragon by arguing peace and normalisation, it stands evident in the face of such information that the Islamic Republic seeks not redemption but expansionism, by every mean necessary.
Locked in a war it deems theological against Israel, Iran wants to paint the region, and the world to the colours of its Islamic ideology, and in doing so bring about the return of its awaited messiah: Imam Mahdi.
Since its very inception Iran through IRGC has resorted to blackmail, kidnappings, and assassinations as useful tools to exert influence both within and without its borders.
Iran’s campaign against Israel’s interests in the Middle East ought to be looked at within this optic of containment.
Intelligence reports now explicitly reference to phase 2 – the targeting of Jewish interests within the diaspora in Western capitals, most particularly London. The recent outburst of antisemitism and calls for violence against Jews in general and Israel in particular all fall within the remit of Iran strategic campaign of containment.
In 2017 Iran specifically commissioned a mapping of all Jewish interests in the UK, with a special focus on London (by virtue of the Jewish community’s demographic) in view of activating its plan – which we believe could be imminent.
