Amnesty International has announced in its new report that the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic have repeatedly tortured detained children and teenagers with “beating, whipping, electric shock, rape and other sexual violence” during the recent nationwide uprising.
In this report, a 12-year-old boy was quoted as saying: “I was forced to confess to what the government agents wanted, because they raped me by hanging me from the ceiling for a long time and using a hose.”
A teenage boy, who was arrested for writing slogans, told Amnesty International: “The officers told us, who were more than 10 people, to make chicken noises for half an hour and pretend to lay eggs for a long time.”
Amnesty International documents also show that agents of the Iranian regime use rape and other sexual violence, including electric shocks to the genitals, touching the genitals and threats of rape, as a weapon against detained children to demoralize them, humiliate and punish them or have used forced confessions.
